Hundreds of dogs seized from Caldwell Co. kennel

HUDSON, NC (AP) -- Caldwell County animal control officers are rounding up nearly 300 dogs from a suspected puppy mill in Hudson.

WSOC-TV reported Thursday that officers obtained a search and seizure warrant after a lengthy investigation into Mason Creek Kennels.

Caldwell County Animal Control Director Greg Green says the dogs are being taken to a temporary shelter at the Caldwell County Fairgrounds in Lenoir.

The kennel website lists the breeds available as Boston Terrier, French Bulldog, Japanese Chin, MaltiPoo, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, Shih Poo, Shorkie Tzu and Yorkie puppies.

No arrests have been reported.
