I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but you're mistaken.
Brian Berger has never told us who his insurance is with to my knowledge. And it really doesn't add to or take away from the story to know whom he's with. Ms. Lilly has consistantly told us, up until this past Monday, that she can't seem to get things worked out with Mr. Berger.
We went to Thursday's County Commissioner Agenda Briefing, just like every other media outlet in town did, and Ms. Lilly came up to us to explain her problem. I talked with Mr. Berger myself after the meeting and he told me his attorney had instructed him not to talk to Ms. Lilly, that his insurance had been on his BMW, that he now had a Jeep, that he hadn't transferred the insurance to the Jeep when the accident happened, but as of that Thursday it had been transferred.
Those are all facts, so we having nothing to apologize for.
