While information regarding these ships is limited, this concept of John Voet to dock the ships in our downtown riverfront is in my opinion, fantastic.
The ships would be a new attraction that I would use here in town.
They would fill the need of missing hotel rooms needed downtown that the city can't seem to find any hotel group to commit to.
They would allow interested groups interested in booking the convention center, the availability of unique rooms on a ship, which should become an immediate selling point.
They would generate tax revenue and downtown spending and new jobs.
The one big difference Voet has with any other hotel business is that he is knocking on the citys door with opportunity and solutions!
This in my memory, is one of the most exciting ideas lately to be "floated" downtown and it should be supported!
