UNDATED (NCSU) -- Sheltering for livestock for persons affected by Pender County wildfire will be held at the Sampson County Livestock Arena located at 51 Agriculture Place Clinton, NC 28328.

The shelter will be accepting cattle, goats, sheep, horses and poultry. Pigs will not be accepted. The shelter will be open today, June 23, 2011 until 7 p.m. and will be reopened as needed.

Any persons interested in using the arena as a shelter needs to contact Emily Herring at (910) 604-3378 ahead of time to inform of the arrival of animals.
