Your comment about Pender High was also embarrassing and insulting. I am friends with several Pender High graduates and my daughter just graduated from there this month. My friends, as well as my daughter, are very proficient in reading comprehension. I am an honest, hard-working individual who could not afford to send my child to a private school, so I did the best I could by sending her to the local public schools. Pender High has produced numerous graduates who have attended college and have fullfilling careers--just so you know.
