Pender County water advisory lifted

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A boil water advisory issued Friday in Pender County has been lifted.

"The watermain break that impacted customers of the Rocky Point/Topsail Water District of Pender County on June 24, 2011, has been repaired and all Bacteriological sample results collected and tested show no coliform bacteria present. Therefore, the Boil Water Advisory has been rescinded and water may be used for consumption without boiling," Pender County Utilities Director Michael Mack said in a statement.
