FAYETTEVILLE, NC (AP) -- Police say a wreck involving an unlicensed teen driver who turned in front of a motorcycle has left a Fort Bragg soldier in serious condition. The Fayetteville Observer reported Thursday a 15-year-old girl was driving a station wagon with her 10-year-old sister in the car when she tried to make a left turn into a gas station. The collision was followed by a five-car pileup as motorists swerved to avoid the soldier, who was thrown 20 feet from the point of impact. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with serious injuries. Hospital officials said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening. Police have not released the names of the drivers. No other injuries were reported. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
