Mike is upset. The new district deprives him of the support of the members of the Lumbee Tribe who bask in the annual distribution of Federal wampum fed to them by Chief Mike.
Now can he change districts to retain his power base? Or will he change his stripes to more conservative colors in order to appeal to the conservative majority in the new District 7?
