I am incredibly sad over this. How many bike riders in New Hanover County need to be seriously injured or killed while riding their bikes? You probably won't publish this, you wouldn't publish one of mine after the fatality deaths of the father and son.
In a county where the drivers are insane, the riders need to taken THE UTMOST care while riding on the streets. Riders first of all should wear the best and most safe helmet they can afford. Riders should wear reflective clothing, EVEN DURING THE DAY. Each bike should have reflective tape, and flashers.
I am not trying to sound like a legalistic, judgemental person....and I am certainly not point the finger soley at the riders. My point is, where the drivers are crazy, the bikers need to take on more responsibilty.
