..it has a lot to do with the amounts of sugars, preservatives, salt, saturated fats, trans-fats, etc. Even loaf bread has High Fructose Corn Syrup in the list of ingredients.
We all eat stuff everyday that isn't good for us. Hormones, antibiotics, feed types, etc. that comes through in our meats, milk, chicken and pork. All of that soley intended to get the grower more poundage, faster and at a lower mortality rate all in the interest of money in their pockets and nothing but health problems for the consumer. These establishments will have zero control over any of those attributes. Now, we can address those same attributes with fruits, grain and vegetables...same problems.
Eating a piece of salmon over a double cheeseburger is a good start, but barely anything more than that. Washing that salmon down with a 20oz soda negates it all.
