No charges filed against Laney High School assistant principal

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The Pender County Sheriff's Office has closed the case on an assistant principal at Laney High School.

No charges have been filed against Robin Lamberty, who had been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student back in May. The case had previously been handled by the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office. The case was turned over to Pender County, where Lamberty lives, when New Hanover County did not find any evidence of a crime.

New Hanover County Schools suspended Lamberty during the criminal and internal investigation.
