The bond number has nothing to do with what he allegedly stole. Bonds of such numbers only come up in criminal contempt cases (99% of which are child support cases. The 10k is based on the crime possibly committed, flight risk and risk the individual poses to the community at large if released. Also the individuals never have to come up with full bond amount usually 10-15% which they pay the bondsman to get them out (granted if he has the 10k then he can bond out himself out but most people dont have the cash to get themselves outta jail and if they do those are the ones deemed flight risks anyway)...
Remember folks the word is alleged. He is innocent till proven guilty seems people forget that concept in the legal system all the time and just want to lynch somebody over an accusation or what not. Please do us all the sane people a favor and make sure you never end up on a jury because obviously you dont understand the concept of impartiality and prejudgement.
