Man dies after falling from 5th floor of Shell Island Resort

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- Wrightsville Beach Police say a man fell to his death from the 5th floor balcony of the Shell Island Resort early Saturday morning. Officers responded at 2:14 a.m.

The victim was 30-year-old Kevin Robert Gunnin from Atlanta. Gunnin was pronounced dead by New Hanover Regional Medical Center EMS.

Police say that at this time the incident appears to be an accident.
