Wayne Williamson back to West Columbus again

CERRO GORDO,NC (WWAY) - Wayne Williamson is one of the nicest coaches you'll ever meet. After a year away from the game the Evergreen resident is back. Williamson even tried his hand at politics last year when he unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the Columbus County School Board. Regardless, Williamson has returned to West Columbus High School replacing TJ Spivey who was named head coach at West Columbus this past winter. Williamson's last head coaching position was at Green Sea Floyds in South Carolina. Frank Jernigan served on Williamson's staff at Green Sea. He will join Williamson in Cerro Gordo.

Ironically West Columbus will open the 2011 high school football season on the road on August 19th at Green Sea Floyds.
