This is why the Postal Service continues to lose money. They make attempts to cut costs, and someone in Congress jumps in to "save the day". They try to reduce delivery schedules, congress says no. They try to close or consolidate under-utilized locations, congress says no. Yet when congress calls the Postmaster General to capitol hill, they want to know why he is able to reduce costs.

It's time for congress to butt out!
