SWANSBORO, NC (AP) -- A Swansboro woman has been accused of stealing guns, a guitar and fishing poles from a Stella residence and then setting the house on fire. The Daily News of Jacksonville reported Thursday that 42-year-old Malissa Lynn Smith has been charged by Onslow County sheriff's deputies with second-degree arson, possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor larceny and three counts of larceny of guns. Authorities say Smith entered the home April 9 and took two shotguns, a rifle, fishing poles and an acoustic guitar. The items were valued at $1,300. Smith was being held in the Onslow County Jail. It was unclear whether she has an attorney. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
