WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- New Hanover County Sheriff's Deputies say they've caught two men accused of stealing weapons and jewelry from a house.

Investigators say there was a break-in at 2519 Sapling Circle Saturday. The robbers got away with several guns, ammo cases, jewelry and a knife collection.

Detectives followed leads that helped them locate suspects. Investigators set up surveillance on the suspects and observed them in the Walgreens parking lot at Market Street and Gordon Road.

Investigators say as they closed in on the suspects the driver, Jon-Michael Joseph Laurie, 21, got out of his truck with a pistol in his front waistband and was quickly placed under arrest. Deputies found five rifles, two ammo cases, stolen jewelry and a stolen knife collection in the bed of the truck.

Detectives arrested Laurie (above, left) and William Eric Watson, 23 (above, right), on several drug and larceny charges. Both men are currently in the New Hanover County Detention Facility.

The Sheriff's Office says it recovered $15,000 to $20,000 in stolen property.
