WILMINGTON,NC -- The second session of the Brett Blizzard basketball camp is over. 36 campers attended the whirlwind week of hoops that combined game action with instruction. "We did a lot of drills, but we also wanted them to have fun, Blizzard said. “That's the most important thing, having them work without doing work."
Without sponsors this camp would likely not be possible. “ I want to thank our sponsors Compass Pointe and WWAY for helping us put this together, Blizzard said. "It was a great opportunity to give back to the kids and it was a great opportunity for them to learn from the coaches. The kids listened and responded well.”
Camp is over,, but Brett Blizzard's gym off market street in Wilmington remains open for business. "We still have individual instruction going on along with the basketball school and we're also going to have a thing called the shooters club for guys who want to become good shooters. It'll be invite only. If you want to become a good shooter it'll be two sessions a week for six weeks. It'll be hard work, but worth it."
Make sure you catch WWAY's Coach's Corner on Sunday. The camp will be featured on Sunday's show at 6pm on WWAY.
