I have a GREAT problem with there being no co-pay. It sets up a special class of drug and patient. All those guys lining up to buy ED drugs are paying a co-pay.
Yes, there are practical reasons to insure that poor women use BC. Placing the costs on insurance companies, however, is not fair and not the answer. The benefits of responsible breeding among the indigent are reaped by the taxpayers, and accordingly the costs of BC co-pay should be borne by the taxpayers for societal leeches and the patient for those who can afford to pay.
