Pender County Superintendent resigns

PENDER COUNTY -- Just two weeks before the start of classes Pender County Schools Superintendent Ted Kaniuka has resigned. Kaniuka came to Pender County in 2004 and had two years left on his contract. He submitted his letter of resignation Monday. Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Robin Hamilton and Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services Rachel Manning will share the superintendent job until the position is filled.
