ASHEVILLE, NC (AP) - An annual festival celebrating a music pioneer who made Asheville his adopted hometown is drawing big names for its second year. The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that electronic music pioneer Brian Eno will present an art installation and deliver a lecture at Moogfest (mowg-fest) in October. Eno is a founding member of Roxy Music and is also famous for producing albums by groups like U2 and Coldplay. The festival celebrates Robert Moog, creator of a synthesizer that revolutionized music. Moog lived in Asheville from 1978 until his death in 2005. His company remains in the city and recently moved to renovated buildings downtown. Other names announced for the festival include the Flaming Lips and Moby. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
