Your own President Lincoln was much more gracious than you. At his second inaugural address, he ended with a plea to heal the nation: "With malice toward none; with charity for all." Lincoln called for all Americans to "bind up the nation’s wounds" and "do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations."
