Tropical Storm Erin is threatening to touch down Thursday in Texas and has caused the National Hurricane Center to issue a tropical storm warning for most of the Texas gulf coast. In preparation for the storm Gov. Rick Perry ordered emergency vehicles and personnel, including National Guard troops, to the region. The threshold for tropical storm status is 39 miles-per-hour.
