Here is the question again. Why is a 26 foot scuttled sailboat allowed to remain on the south end of Masonboro for FIVE LONG YEARS, allow the sea and storms to batter it to broken shards of fiberglass and aluminum that continue to litter the beach without the first attempt to clean it up, yet you remove the flag of the United States of America that was put up to honor those that have fought and died to preserve the very freedom that flag represents?
Now, let's also take into account the OTHER THREE VESSELS on the backside of Masonboro that have been abandoned with ZERO effort to remove. It's trash and it's junk and it's an eyesore, but that's okay to remain, right? Please explain...we're listening and want to hear what you have to say.
"Coastal Management", I'm not here to condone the unauthorized installation of the great flag of this United States erected in honor. What I AM here for is to entice YOU to explain to the people of this county and state why YOU allow these abandoned vessels to remain for YEARS on end until covered by sand, but you just HAD take that beautiful flag down.
No "political, side-lipped mumbo-jumbo", a true explanation will do just fine!
You know what folks, we will never hear a word from them. It seems we have some sort of "committee" here that has no foundation, no purpose, but is receiving funding from somewhere to exist. Another fine example of how our money is spent for useless groups that are totally ineffective for anything but to piss off the public with narrow-minded decision making.
"Coastal Management" STILL hasn't answered the big question!
