I am tired of the proliferation of American flags everywhere I turn.
When coming into Wilmington on 74/76, as you cross the Brunswick River, someone has planted a flag in the marsh.
I always enjoyed looking at the beautiful, natural marshland, but the flag is an eyesore and takes away from its beauty.
Let's display the flag on Armistice Day and July 4th and put them away the rest of the time. They can and do add to the chaotic commercial environment.
I'm as patriotic as the next man, but too much flag waving is . . . well, too much.
