The county should get rid of the debris. If not, then we should be allowed to burn it. It doesn't matter to me which way they want to do it. We should not have to pay extra to dispose of it after all the property taxes we pay including the extra .25% sales tax we pay in New Hanover County. I don't have a problem with burning it and it wouldn't cost the county a dime. There should be a place for county residents to take yard debris at all times without having to pay extra just like the city has a place for their debris. There are people on fixed incomes and or unemployed that cannot afford to pay for anything extra. Either the county should supply debris pickup or let people burn the debris.
