It's the government's responsibility because we live in a beach community which, HELLO, might see an occasional hurricane, we pay taxes, and they should budget for expenses such as this.
City of Wilmington, Kure Beach, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, all of them care about their citizens enough to clean up even without budgeting for it. Why not the County? Because Commissioner Jason Thompson wants to make money from Diversified Biomass (his company).
