The city should really look at the parking deck numbers and realize that parking fees hurt business.
Half of the people that use the deck, don't pay any fees. That's because parking is free everywhere else, except the beaches.
They have the monopoly there, the city does not.
If it weren't for the courthouse, three quarters of users of the deck wouldn't even be downtown in the first place.
Keep up the good work councilmen, by the time it's over, there will be nothing to bring anyone to downtown....except the bars...and that will end when the meters go from 6-9pm.
