I've watched the city and county boards on TV and it doesn't look like that hard of a job. Pose posturing statements/questions to look tough on TV (does it seem to anyone else that these televised meetings are free campaign adds for incumbents?), vote yes on every housing development project, do nothing to foster economic development other than for those in the home building trades, and then present plaques to people and organizations for surviving one more trip around the sun each year.
If you've sat in traffic or looked for a new job, you know that what previous board members have done to this point hasn't really worked out that well for us. Why not let this "different" board member remain? By some weird reverse logic, it just might help!
Why not let Berger stay on the Board?
