2) Bob is entitled to an opinion. If from his experience he believes it possible for someone to bounce back from something like this without giving up their job, then so be it. However we may disagree, he's expressed his opinion to Brian personally, not professionally in this instance.

4) The story leads with "Kevin Mauer at the StarNews originally broke this story Friday afternoon...". I suspect that they were exchanged on the public server. It is unfortunate and unnecessary that they should have been publicized, however it came about.
