"He was a good boy, even though he made some wrong decisions. But you can't help that with the environment we've grown up in, it's all we know."

All his buddies have come here saying he was a good boy (The rest of us can't call him "boy"...that would be racist), that he lived with his mom and dad, went to church, etc. None of that mattered when HE decided to pull the trigger. Regardless of what you "promise", if he's found guilty, he deserves whatever sentence the judge gives him. I don't know what you mean by "get up out of here", but if that means straightening out your life and becoming a productive member of society, more power to you. I wish you the best.
