BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Brunswick County Schools are dealing with multiple incidents on their buses. Last week we told you about a child put on a wrong bus. Friday a student was left with a bloody eye. Friday a student was on the bus heading to South Brunswick Middle School when he another student cut his eyelid with a pair of nail clippers. School district officials met today to discuss the issue. A spokeswoman said the student's name cannot be released. That student was hurt and ended up getting off the bus. A family member found him and took him to the hospital. School officials are in contact with the family, but would not disclose any disciplinary action that may be taken against the other student responsible for the incident. The bus driver, Johnny Hooten, has been suspended without pay for two weeks. He must also complete additional training before being reinstated.
