One student cuts another student above his eye and the school bus driver gets suspended for two weeks without pay. Was the driver responsible for searching each student to insure none were carrying weapons before boarding the school buss? If so, is a "Nail Clipper" to be considered a weapon and have students and parents been made aware of this? Did the injured student report the incident to the driver? This story only makes one wonder what was left out and if nothing was omitted from this story, why was this driver even suspended for two weeks? It appears one thing Brunswick County beleives in is "Reactive Overkill".
