Brunswick Co. Health Dept. hosts flu shot clinic; walk-in hours start Monday


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Flu season is upon us, and flu shots are already available.

The Brunswick County Health Department will hold a Flu Shot Clinic tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Public Health Nurses will give the shots. No appointments are required.

There is no list this year. You can go to the Health Department on a walk-in basis Monday–Friday beginning starting next week any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Also the Health Department will be at many community locations such as town halls, fire stations and churches.

The cost of the flu shot or flu mist is $35. The high dose vaccine for those aged 65 and over is $50.

The Health Department accepts Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Tricare, Medcost and Cigna insurances. If you have questions, please call (888) 428-4429 or visit the Health Department's website.
