Doesn't matter if he was wanted for writing bad checks or murder, if he isn't threatening anyone at that moment, the police shouldn't just execute him. That's the law of the land since the founding of our country.
I am 100% in support in going in to get him, and if he makes any threatening moves with a weapon, open fire boys! I'm sure the police had snipers around, and he he pointed his gun out the window, they would have taken him out if necessary.
I simply don't think we should just shoot someone and go home, just to save some overtime pay to the police. I'm sure the investigation into such a shooting would cost way more than the overtime would have cost anyway.
