this is baseball at its best. You see young, enthusiastic players; some of whom may end up in the Majors one day. But you see them when they play for the thrill of playing and not for some multi-million dollar contract. It's inexpensive; even less expensive than taking in the Myrtle Beach single A team or the departed Kinston Indians.
And they play pretty good ball. The Sharks made the playoffs and ultimately were defeated by the Edenton Steamers which won the league title.
The next time someone proposes spending millions of taxpayer dollars to build a stadium for a minor league team, which may not stay in town that long, tell them you're a Sharks Fan.
