1st: Good for you,
2nd: You don't know what was going on in that ambulance, something couldve happened in the back to distract the driver, he coulve fallen asleep from being overworked, couldve been distracted by something else on the road or someone else, I know Joe and he wouldnt just run the light, there had to have been something going on.
3rd. The only thing I see on his record is 2 tickets going 20 over the speed limit, OVER 8 YEARS AGO, which im sure all of us have done at one time or another without getting caught, the rest were Insurance related. Companies check driving records from 3-5 years back. The reason for the insurance and inspection violations are most likely from the fact that EMTs are underpaid and therefore those with families need to support their family before worrying about insurance and inspections,
4th. Again I seriously doubt it was a concious choice and you not being in the ambulance with them, should have nothing to say about it
It was a tragic accident, nothing more then an accident. My heart goes out to the families of the poor young woman, and joe who has to live with this the rest of his life
rebuttle
