RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- An online legal services company that wants to sell standard legal forms in North Carolina from its website and provide other services is suing the North Carolina State Bar, which says the company engages in the unauthorized practice of law. The News & Observer of Raleigh reported that LegalZoom.com sued the Bar in Wake County Superior Court. It wants a judge to say the company can sell the forms on its website and allow it to register to sell prepaid legal services. The latest fight between the company and the Bar began in July 2010, when the Bar refused to register LegalZoom to provide a new service: offering prepaid legal plans for individuals and small businesses. The Associated Press left a message Wednesday with the State Bar. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
