Two charged in Brunswick County shooting


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Two people wanted in connection with a weekend murder in the Longwood community of Brunswick County are now in custody.

Alfred Lamont Butler turned himself in to deputies earlier today. He was wanted for the shooting death of Sherman Daniels Sunday. Butler is charged with murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is in the Brunswick County Detention Center without bond.

Deputies arrested Johntoria Walton this afternoon. She is charged with accessory after the fact. She is in jail under a $45,000 secured bond.
