Wow, and double Wow! The Chief of Police in Leland, should read his law again pertaining to the release of Personnel Record. The NC Supreme Court and The United States Supreme Court has already ruled in the past, that if these records have a impact on the governing council, or if it's in the best interest of the general public based upon the situations that have been alleged, it's not unlawful to release personnel records to the media. I think the Officer in question that was humiliated by being shot in the area she was shot in, must have gave a release to the media for her records, and the Chief couldn't block it.
I guess you get what you pay for. Maybe the next time Leland looks for a Chief, they might pay someone that is credible instead of just saying, "He's from Charlotte." Apparently he moved up through the ranks by his BS.
