However, what we don't need is another development interest on these elected boards. This domination of elected and appointed boards by developers and real estate types has to stop. This has been the norm in Wilmington and it has not served us well at all. I'm for Ricky Meeks (the guy has put in his time and deserves a chance, we've done worse), Matt Hinson (a retired Wilmington Police officer whose public service goes back to his teen years) and Frank Meares, a Red Cross employee studying political science.
Agreed that his bonafides are impressive....
