If you really think you know Sherman and his "March To The Sea", you should try readig "War Crimes Against Southern Civilians". The true story is about the continued plunder and rape of the civilian population, along with the gang rape of mostly black women by Federal soldiers under Sherman's command.
"War Crimes Against Southern Civilians" also explains in great detail how the U.S. Army, under the micromanagement of Abe Lincoln, also murdered tens of thousands of Southern civilians, including thousands of slaves and free blacks, while stealing tens of millions of dollars of their private possessions as well.
I doubt you will read the book, however. It would eliminate all of your preconceived falsehoods about the war that you have heard through generations of hearsay. I have a feeling you would rather remain illiterate and continue to spout falsehoods about something you know nothing about, than to set out on a journey of truth and enlightenment which would place your Yankees beliefs in jeopardy.
