While I do understand your plight, SOMEONE, likely several or more will be impacted by "fumes, noise of the big trucks, and dirt" in their "peaceful neighborhoods". There are simply too many people in the general vicinity and some will definitely be impacted, it's unavoidable.
Hopefully, they will buy you out and you can find another "peaceful neighborhood". These bypasses are for the larger scale common good of the county, it's people and an effort to manage a growing traffic problem.
