Kitchen Cops 10/27/11

WILMINGTON NC (WWAY) -- In this edition of Kitchen Cops we have one low and one high performer to report.

New York Pasta House at 130 N Front St in Wilmington is the low score.

Inspectors found a number of violations including: soiled containers, bowls and plates, deli cooler not cool enough, label dry food, clean floors in several areas, employees must wash hands when changing jobs and hot water turned off at hand sink. All total a low 87 for the New York Pasta House, add two for a food safety course.

Our high performer, Port City Java # 12, at 228 Eastwood Rd in Wilmington.

Inspectors only recommend filling the sanitizer vat fully. Lose half a point, add two for a food safety course and Port City Java brews up a 101.5.
