Anyone want to take a guess at when the Wrightsville Beach Bridge repairs will be concluded?? It was slated to be completed by March 29 2013. With just over one month remaining American Bridge appears to be less than 50 percent completed??
I'm sure our business's here on the island will appreciate the apparent timeline overruns causing folks to avoid our beach at all cost!!
On a side note, just curious if the "Removed" Steel Decking was sold as scrap iron and where those sizable proceeds were credited? Currently the old decking is sitting in Goldsboro at a scrapyard off HWY 117.
Were they credited back to the NC DOT? American Bridge? Or a individual??
After-all it is property of our state.
