Here's a question I pose to WWAY regarding this report. It appears that most of the department is in some way not in compliance with training. How does this correlate with traffic tickets, arrests, etc given by the officers during the times in which they weren't properly certified? Would this not be grounds for appeal or maybe even dismissals for citizens given violations from these officers?
Seems like it might be a good time to be an attorney in Leland!
I would be curious to hear from the Brunswick District Attorney on this topic. He has stated he has no knowledge of any problems in the Leland Department until recently. I am sure he is up to speed now and wonder how this will all go down.
