At best once is a mistake although I consider it to be more of a choice than simply a mistake. Going from disorderly conduct and B&E to first degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon is an escalation. He needs to get on the straight and narrow before he hurts someone or gets himself hurt. With his history of drug convictions, he should look into rehab.
