WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Fans and eager actors lined up today to part of the end of an era in Hollywood East.
Fincannon & Associates says more than 600 people turned out for a casting call for the series finale of "One Tree Hill." The final scenes of the show will require a large number of people, and that means lots of extras will be hired. It's a chance for a lot of people to get a little taste of life on the small screen.
"I just came out to try and jump into one of these extra positions," James Cronley said. "I heard about it in a film class from one of my professors at UNC Wilmington. I just thought it'd be a nice opportunity to get a little bit of scratch on the side."
So many people showed up today some had to be turned away.
The final season of "One Tree Hill" premieres in January.
