Police: NC gas station worker shoots boss, self

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (AP) -- A gas station worker is dead after shooting the boss who fired him and then turning the gun on himself.

Winston-Salem police say they found 25-year-old Richard Vance Dixon dead from a self-inflicted shotgun blast in the parking lot outside an Exprezit Gas Station. Police say he shot 44-year-old Alex Little at about 2 a.m. Sunday before killing himself.

Officers say Little fired the gunman from his job at the gas station last week.

Little was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in critical condition.
