Home prices in Wilmington increase

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -- Homes across Wilmington continue to gain value according to new data released today by CoreLogic.

The data shows home prices rose by 0.5 percent in September of this year compared to this same time last year.

Nationally, home prices have declined by 4.1 percent in September 2011 compared to September 2010. On a month-over-month basis, prices fell by 1.1 percent, the second consecutive monthly decline. CoreLogic officials say even with low interest rates, home prices are expected to continue to decline throughout this winter.
